Questions people ask

Can I try anything myself first?

A plunger is fine. Skip chemical drain cleaners: they can damage pipes and make the plumber’s job hazardous.

The toilet is overflowing. Is this an emergency?

Turn off the valve behind the toilet first. Then send the request and say it is overflowing: it goes out as urgent.

Will the same clog come back?

Tell us if it keeps clogging. A plumber may suggest a camera look to find the cause instead of clearing it again.

Do I need to be home?

Tell us how the plumber gets in. Door codes are never written in the request; you share them with the plumber you book.
